I enjoy making worksheets, flashcards and games that will compliment children's books and children's interests.
5 picture cards, one for each group of children.
The idea is to get each group to talk about their picture and decide which story they think it’s from.
At the end, each group announce which story they think their picture is from then show their card to the rest of the class to see if their pictures match up to the story they think it’s from.
Ideal start of the day activity.
5 Sequencing boards with 6 blank spaces for the pictures to be placed in the correct order. These can be used as work sheets for cutting and sticking or laminated and used in the book corner over and over.

Using words from Phase 2 Phonics, I have created, 20 comprehension cards. Each card has one simple sentence and then 2 questions to answer. Child can read the sentence and then adult can read the question to them and the child can write their answers below. These could printed off and used as a quick group activity or laminated and used during child initiated time.
Unscramble the simple sentences and rewrite in the space above. All words are in Phase 4 Phonics, including tricky words.
There are 7 worksheets with 4 sentences, along with pictures, on each sheet.
Sheets can be given to the children whole or cut into 2 or 4.
You might also want to laminate them and leave out for the children to access during free flow.
8 Bingo cards, containing 9 split digraph words on each.
Adult to show a picture and help the children to identify the picture then the child looks on their bingo card to see if it contains the word to match the picture. There are a total of 18 different words/pictures and also bingo counters; which can be printed off several times to ensure there are enough for all children.
